Venue Selection

In trying to find the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception, we wanted only a few things. We wanted to be able to have the ceremony and reception in one place and weren't looking for the traditional hall.

We had a few places in mind and then decided to check out the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. We went on a Sunday in July and saw the different locations where the ceremony and reception could be held. We immediately liked the location and the ballroom.

We went back this past weekend to meet with the onsite wedding coordinator and got all the final details. She was awesome! She walked us through all of the steps and told us how to start getting organized. Thank goodness for my maid of honour (Ashley) as she handled all the questions!

The dates we wanted are being held by other people but one of the dates (the one we REALLY want) is on hold if no one else wants it. We are currently waiting to hear back from her on the dates.
